Commission to launch study on product carbon footprinting

The European Commission study on product carbon footprinting, to start this month, should help to harmonise the methodology for measuring carbon footprint at an EU and/or global level, the EU body has said.rnThe aim of the study is to identify and analyses the existing leading methodologies and initiatives in product carbon footprinting. The analysis will focus on getting a clear picture and comparison of existing methodologies and initiatives, and on identifying features that might be relevant for future policy development.
