A proposal for an EU Strategy aimed at maximising Baltic member states' potential to help fight the Sea's environmental degradation was presented to the Swedish Presidency by Polish Commissioner Danuta Hiibner in Brussels on 10 June.rnThe Strategy is the first time that the EU has launched concrete inter-governmental proposals targeted at all countries in the wider Baltic Sea region.
