Consultation on technologies for a low carbon economy

The European Commission's DG Enterprise this week opened a consultation on communication technologies for a low carbon economy, giving people until 14 June to comment.rnIntroducing the consultation, the Commission pointed to its March 2009 Communication on mobilising Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) to facilitate the transition to an energy-efficient, low-carbon economy. The Communication announces the planned adoption of a Commission Recommendation setting out specific actions to make the best use of ICTs in improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions.
