China, which hosts the factories of the major electronic and electrical manufacturers but also an entire recycling network for end of life products, is getting its own legislation on waste electrical and electronic equipment.rnChina's state Council has officially approved, this month, the "administrative regulations for recycling and disposal of waste electrical and electronic products." The regulations, which contain 5 chapters and 35 articles, will come into effect on 1 January 2011.rnExperts have welcomed the announcement saying this was a starting point in establishing a green policy for EEE, even if the terms are still unclear.
