Foods containing nano sized particles promising consumers super-strength doses of vitamins and minerals are on sale in Europe, despite a warning this month from the European Food Safety Authority over the uncertainties in assessing safety of nano products. EE&PL affiliate EU Food Law has found high street stores in the UK and Austria selling nano food supplements including colloidal silver, claimed to boost the immune system, CoQ10 used as an antioxidant, and high dose calcium, silica and magnesium products.
