Moscow imposes new pesticide testing on EU exports

Another trade spat is looming between the EU and Russia, with Moscow primed last week to crack down on alleged pesticide residue risks on a host of products it imports from the EU. EU exporters of fruit, vegetables and other fresh produce to Russia now face new bureaucratic hurdles with effect from 15 December, as Moscow clamps down on what it claims are lax EU controls on pesticide residues.
