Serbia softens stance on GM crop production

Serbia is preparing amendments to a restrictive law on genetically modified organisms (GMOs) that it adopted last year, reports USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS).rnThe amendments are expected to be approved by October and would allow importing and growing of GMOs under strict control of the state.rnLast year's law prohibited all commercial growing of or trade involving GMOs.
