PVC industry looks set to meet 2010 recycling target, despite the crisis

The PVC industry is on track to recycle 200,000 tonnes of PVC a year by 2010, according to Vinyl 2010's ninth progress report.rnDespite the difficult economic situation, which has heavily affected this sector, 190,324 tonnes of post consumer PVC were recycled in 2009, meaning that industry should meet its 200,000 tonne target by the end of the year. A total of 688,674 tonnes have been recycled since the beginning of the ten-year programme.
