Slovenia's Environment Minister resigned this week just as Slovenia's Parliament was about to dismiss him over his failure to improve waste management procedures as requested by law.rnParliament was planning to expel Karl Erjavec in line with a demand from the Court of Audit which said earlier this month that the ministry had failed to secure an efficient waste management system.rn"I inform you that I'm resigning," Erjavec told lawmakers during the debate on 26 January after accusing the head of government of having proposed his dismissal in violation of the constitution.
