Finland warned over waste and SEA failings

Finland has been sent two reasoned opinions, giving it two months to transpose the Waste Framework and Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Directives or face action in the European Court of Justice. The SEA Directive requires large scale plans and programmes that are likely to have significant effects on the environment to be subject to an environmental assessment.
