Climate is industrial question, say MEPs and Commission

Divisions emerged at last week's European Parliament's Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety on whether the EU should move beyond the 20 per cent greenhouse gas emissions reduction target. MEPs all agreed, however, that climate was now an integral part of industrial policy and that one of the easiest ways to ensure the competitiveness of European industry was to focus on energy efficiency.
