REACH test methods updated to cut animal testing

The European Commission has updated the test methods to be used for compliance with the REACH chemicals regulation to reduce animal testing. The update to a 2008 regulation on test methods comes in a Commission regulation that was published in the EU's Official Journal at the end of last week (OJ L 193 of 20.7.2012).
