Austria: ARA cuts green dot tariffs, offers new pricing model

Putting packaging on the market in Austria will be around six per cent cheaper next month, green dot scheme Altstoff Recycling Austria AG (ARA) has announced. ARA customers will benefit from cost cuts in the range of 5 per cent to 10.8 per cent for packaging made of paper, plastic, ferrous metal and aluminium. Fees will now range from €0.01 I/kg excluding VAT for wood to €0.580/kg for composite materials (except beverage cartons) -with "standard" paper and small plastics charges of €0.095/kg and €0.590/kg respectively.
