European waste reduction week expands to recycling

Reduce, reuse and recycle - that is the goal of this year's European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) to take place from 16 to 24 November. "After four years of successful implementation, the EWWR extends its scope to recycling to help increase awareness on resource efficiency and circular economy, and change the behaviour of European citizens regarding waste and resource management, in particular in countries where sorting and recycling rates are still low," European co-ordinator of the project, the Association of Cities and Regions for Recycling and Sustainable Waste Management (ACR+) said last week.
