Hannequart calls for EU to debate EPR funding

The EU should start discussions on how much money companies should pay to extended producer responsibility (EPR) schemes, Jean-Pierre Hannequart, President of the Association of Cities and Regions for Recycling and Sustainable Resource Management (ACR+), said last week. Hannequart told the 9 October Committee of the Regions conference on the waste hierarchy that the ecodesign principle should be included in the system.
