F-gas failings mean Poland referred to EU Court

Poland's failure to comply with EU laws on fluorinated greenhouse gases - or F-gases -prompted the European Commission to refer it to the EU Court of Justice last week. The Commission said in a 16 April statement that it was referring Poland to the EU Court "for failing to notify to the Commission what penalties have been put in place in case the EU rules for companies and personnel undertaking certain activities with fluorinated gases are not observed. Poland has also not yet notified the national certification bodies that should train and certify the relevant service personnel and service companies."
