This article seeks to detect urban change by integrating multi-temporal remotely sensed data over a 19-year period in Gorgan area of Golestan Province in north of Iran. The authors demonstrate that mostly range and agricultural land have changed into residential areas, and establish parameters that can used to assess the rate of change. Such tools can produce information that helps managers make more informed decisions on urban expansion, conservation and sustainable use.%本文旨在通过整合19年间的多时相遥感数据来检测伊朗北部洛雷斯坦(Golestan)省Gorgan地区的城市变化。作者发现大部分农场和农业用地变更为住宅区,他还建立了可以用来评估变化率的参数。这些工具可以生成信息,帮助管理者在城市扩张、保护和可持续利用方面做出更明智的决策。
