AUSTIN, Texas-The Fort Worth, Texas, City Council Dec. 16 put the finishing touches on revisions to its gas drilling ordinance, adding more detailed definitions of buildings to make certain that its setback provisions correspond with those set out in the International Fire Code.rnThe council completed most of the ordinance revisions at its Dec. 9 meeting (Ordinance No. 18399-12-2008), establishing a gas drilling review committee to make permit recommendations to the council and adding more detailed environmental and noise regulations, including new environmental provisions to reduce emissions from both wells and trucks; new standards for salt water piping; required noise management plans; and mitigation and other limits on low-frequency and pure-tone noise.
