Nine Sites Proposed for Superfund Listing; EPA Announces Withdrawal of California Site

According to EPA Region 2, sampling at the Mansfield Trail Dump in Byram Township, N.J., one of the nine sites proposed, revealed chemical vapors from contaminated soil in basements of some nearby homes. The site is a wooded area where waste was dumped in trenches, Region 2 said in a statement.
