Legislature Approves $1 Billion Fund For Transportation, Environmental Projects

Albany, N.Y.-Legislation was delivered to the governor of New York Dec. 8 to create a $1 billion infrastructure fund to finance the construction of roads, bridges, and environmental infrastructure projects and to leverage some $10 billion in public and private investments. The Infrastructure Investment Act (S. 50002), which will be signed shortly by Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo (D), was approved by both houses of the Legislature during a special session Dec. 7.
