A federal appeals court Aug. 15 upheld the conviction of a Kentucky man accused of rigging Environmental Protection Agency injection well tests, finding there was enough evidence to support the conviction (United States v. Lewis, 6th Cir., No. 09-6548, 8/15/11). The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit affirmed the conviction and sentence of Daniel Lewis, who worked at Roseclare Oil LLC, which owned and operated a number of injection wells in Kentucky.
