EPA Solicits Comments on Final Guidance For Vapor Intrusion to Assess Indoor Air Risk

The Environmental Protection Agency is requesting public comment as it develops final guidance to evaluate the health risk of vapor intrusion from groundwater and soil, according to a notice to be published in the March 17 Federal Register. Comments on the Review of the Draft 2002 Subsurface Vapor Intrusion Guidance were requested by May 14. Vapor intrusion is the migration of volatile chemicals from contaminated soil or groundwater into overlying buildings.
