Democrats Waxman, Rush Ask Committee To Hold Hearing on Global Warming Report

Two House Democrats on Dec. 11 asked the Energy and Commerce Committee to hold a hearing on a recent PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP report that said companies should prepare for global temperatures to increase by 6 degrees Celsius by the end of the century. Limiting climate change to just 2 degrees Celsius would require economies to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions by unprecedented rates, Reps. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) and Bobby Rush (D-Ill.) said in their letter to Committee Chairman Fred Upton (R-Mich.) and Rep. Ed Whitfield (R-Ky.), chairman of the Subcommittee on Energy and Power.
