摘要

Opponents of the Keystone XL oil pipeline are hoping that project approval will be delayed for months, if not derailed, by a State Department inspector general inquiry and by a Nebraska court case. State Department Acting Inspector General Harold W. Geisel is conducting an inquiry into allegations made by opponents of the Canada-to-Texas project suggesting that the consultant selected by the State Department to conduct the environmental review of the project was not entirely truthful regarding its past clients and work for companies involved in Canadian oil sands development.
