Senate Appropriations Urged to Increase Funding for USGS Water Quality Program

Thirty-two water, conservation, and environmental groups wrote the Senate Appropriations Committee, urging its members to fund the U.S. Geological Survey's National Water Quality Assessment program in fiscal year 2014 at $66.5 million instead of the reduced amount proposed by the Obama administration.
