Industry, Environmental Groups File Lawsuits Challenging EPA Major Source Boilers Rule

Industry and environmental groups have filed lawsuits challenging an Environmental Protection Agency final rule that adjusted air toxics standards for major source boilers while giving industry additional time to comply with the regulation (JELD-WEN Inc. v. EPA, D.C. Cir., No. 13-1086, 3/29/13).EPA is facing challenges through at least 11 separate petitions for review filed in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.In addition, several groups have filed petitions for reconsideration, asking EPA to make adjustments to the final rule administratively.
