Climate Action Reserve Launches First Mexican Forest Offset Project

The Climate Action Reserve announced Nov. 19 the launch of a forest carbon offset project in Mexico to improve the management of over 12,000 acres of forest land in Oaxaca, conserve important native species and economically benefit the small community of San Juan Lachao. The San Juan Lachao forests are in "really poor condition" and have "degraded water quality," Gero said.
