Interim health protection measures for short-term exposure to trichloroethylene (TCE) in indoor air should be established for California and other areas covered by the Environmental Protection Agency's Region 9, according to guidance dated July 9 from the agency's regional office. The guidance is meant to provide protection to sensitive and vulnerable subpopulations, especially in the first trimester of pregnancy, Region 9 said.
