International Climate, Clean Air Coalition Asks Companies to Reduce Methane Leaks

An international coalition plans to launch an initiative this year asking oil and gas companies to voluntarily commit to make extensive investments in plugging methane leaks throughout their infrastructure. The Climate and Clean Air Coalition-which includes the U.S., Canada, Australia, Denmark, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Nigeria, Norway, and organizations such as the World Bank and the UN Environment Program-is shaping the program as one of its main priorities heading into its third year of advocacy.
