House Democrats Urge EPA to Go Further In Crafting Aircraft Emissions Limits

Twenty-two House Democrats, led by Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.), are urging U.S. regulators to adopt stricter limits on greenhouse gas emissions from aircraft than those currently being developed by the United Nations' International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). "It is clear that the United States cannot achieve the emission reductions we need by simply rubber-stamping the ICAO standards," the lawmakers wrote in a letter obtained Oct. 8 by Bloomberg BNA.
