摘要

Public universities with researchers targeted by Rep. Raul Grijalva's (D-Ariz.) probe into climate science funding sources have split on their responses to the congressman's request. The University of Delaware declined to provide most of the requested information, while Arizona State University disclosed most of it. Grijalva, ranking member on the House Natural Resources Committee, sent letters Feb. 24 seeking information on the research activities of seven researchers. The investigation came following revelations that Willie Soon, a scientist who is skeptical of climate change, accepted more than $1.25 million in funding from groups such as Exxon Mobil, Southern Co., the American Petroleum Institute and a foundation funded by conservative groups for his research.
