EPA Announces Cellulosic Credit Prices For 2014, 2015, Updates Calculations

The Environmental Protection Agency will revise its method for calculating and posting annual cellulosic ethanol waiver credits in an effort to publicize the prices in a more timely manner for petroleum refiners. The EPA announced in a direct final rule (RIN 2060-AS48) released March 25 that it will begin posting the waiver credit prices on its website rather than issuing them through the rulemaking process. That will allow the EPA to issue credit prices, which must be updated annually, each November, the agency said.
