House Transportation and Infrastructure Chair Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.) plans to unveil legislation today to address the country’s ailing water sector, including authorizing $40 billion overthe next ve years for the Clean Water State Revolving Fund.The bill would authorize $50 billion over that timeframe to upgrade wastewater infrastructure and water quality, with the lion’s share going to the chronically-underfunded Clean WaterSRF. The program provides loan nancing and assistance for communities for a range of water infrastructure projects, Kellie Lunney reports.
