摘要

A Canadian province dependent on extracting fossil fuels wants an appeals court to strike down reforms that it says would allow the Canadian government to block projects that aren't sustainable or don't tackle climate change.Alberta, home of the world's third largest oil reserves, argued at a trial this week that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's government is trying to control its economic destiny by halting oil-sands sites, power plants, mines, and highways because of changes made to impact assessment laws two years ago.
