The heckling local parliamentary candidate for UKIP reminded those inside the hangar-like NEC that a General Election was looming. Not that he achieved much. His rather limp argument, that global warming is a fabrication, dreamt up by governments keen to impose green taxes, was suitably shot down by Adrian Wilkes of the Environmental Industries Commission. "I prefer to agree with the 99.9% of science that says climate change is really happening," he said.
