Handbook of applied spatial analysis: software tools, methods and applications

The Handbook of Applied Spatial Analysis provides an important summary of, and gateway into, the rapidly developing field of spatial analysis. It aims to provide both a useful guide for researchers at all levels in spatial analytic fields and a basis for more in-depth research. The Handbook is composed of both original contributions and journal article reprints from a range of respected authors. The book is split into seven sections; the first outlines ten geographic information software tools and this is followed by two more conceptual sections that tackle spatial statistics, geostatistics, and spatial econometrics. The final four sections demonstrate applications of spatial analysis techniques in a variety of contexts, including remote sensing, and economic, environmental, and health sciences.
