With this issue the journal welcomes two new review editors, and says thank you to its outgoing editor. Carolyn Cartier has been review editor of the journal since 2004, but sadly at the end of 2007 communicated her wish to step down, in part due to a changing work situation and new opportunities and challenges. All of us at the journal are very grateful to Carolyn for her work over this period, and are pleased to take this opportunity to communicate our thanks. We wish her the very best for the future. To replace Carolyn we invited applications for a new review editor, and we were greatly encouraged by those we received. From a strong field of candidates we decided to appoint two, whose research interests and geographical location make for a strong team. They are Mary Thomas of the Department of Geography and Women's Studies at Ohio State University; and Christian Abrahamsson in the Department of Geography at the University of Uppsala. Together they cover a lot of ground, both within and beyond the discipline of geography, and I know both are open to a range of perspectives for reviews in the journal.
