Journal developments With this issue Society and Space enters its thirtieth volume. While many things remain the same-in terms of the international and interdisciplinary reach of the journal and the quality of the work that appears within its pages-there have been a number of recent developments. One of the biggest projects was the five-volume Environment and Planning collection produced by Pion and Sage. This major reference work, intended for libraries which do not have access to the archive of the Environment and Planning journals, brings together papers from all four journals and was edited by past and present editors.
