EPA is asking Kansas officials to consider mandating integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) as a technology to cut carbon dioxide emissions in an air permit for a contentious proposed coal-fired power plant in the state that the agency is demanding must be rewritten due to changes in the design of the plant.
