SAB EYES NAS REPORT TO SHAPE ADVICE ON AGENCY DECISION-MAKING

EPA's Science Advisory Board (SAB) is planning to use recommendations in a recent National Academy of Sciences (NAS) publication that recommends some groundbreaking shifts in risk assessment as a starting point for an upcoming report on how the agency could improve its decision-making capabilities.rnThe new report is in response to a request from then-Administrator Stephen Johnson, who asked SAB to provide advice to the next administrator on how EPA could be more effective and make better risk management and other decisions.
