摘要

Numerical and experimental studies were carried out to study convection and head transfer in a rectangular inclined vessel filled with silicone oil with high Prandtl number. A temperature gradient was established between the upper and lower limiting surfaces, and a small lateral wall can be optionally heated. According to the incination angle(from 0°to 60°), the convective pattern is made of transverse rolls, i.e. parallel to the short side wall, longitudinal rolls, parallel to the long side wall, or an unique roll. The variation with the inclination of heat fluxes, through the different walls, is also computed.
