A physical modeling of the ionic pump permitted to demonstrate the existence of transfers that finds their origin, on the one hand, in a gradient of potential chemical and, on the other hand, in the active transports bound to the coupled processes. The modelling of the pump permitted to identify three phases, the one where takes place the ionic pumping, preceded of the priming of the pump, and of a phase of exhaustion of the solute that corresponds to the unpriming the pump.
