Engineer develops new trash seeder

A new zero tillage seeding machine, developed by an agricultural engineer researcher at Wagga Wagga in southern NSW, promises to increase the sustainability of grain production by reducing herbicide and fertiliser use, while promoting higher yields. The patented SuperStar technology was developed by the Cooperative Research Centre for Australian Weed Management in answer to the complex challenges of effective weed control, reduced chemical and fertiliser use, improved soil structure and higher yields.
