The Palm, the World and the Waterfront

The Palm, the World and the Waterfront are among the unique and ambitious projects in Dubai. The project developer is Nakheel Properties, owned by the Dubai government and controlled by the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The projects are being built on reclaimed land off the Dubai coast and will add more than 500km of beaches to Dubai's coastline, which at present stretches only 70km between the emirates of Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. The aim of the projects is to attract international property investment, new residents and tourists to the emirate.
