Due to be completed towards the end of this year, S A Water's new headquarters at 1 Victoria Square in Adelaide's CBD, to be known as VS1, is the first building in South Australia to be designed to a six-star Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) rating.rnThe project is a joint development of the Catholic Church Endowment Society of the Adelaide archdiocese (the owner of the land) and the government of South Australia.rnDesign and construct contractor Han-sen Yuncken is delivering the $85 million project under a 10 month design and two year construction program.rnThe building has 10 stories with 25,000m~2 of office space, two floors of specialised laboratories, a major central atrium and extensive public plaza and a basement carpark.rnIts energy-efficient design includes a protective screen on the western facadernto improve the efficiency of the HVAC system.
