Trials under way of three carbon capture technologies

摘要

The precombustion capture of carbon dioxide from coal-fired powersta-tions that use gasification as the core technology is being investigated in Victoria by the Cooperative Research Centre for Greenhouse Gas Technologies (CO2CRC). The project is being carried out in cooperation with energy, technology and project development company HRL Limited. Known as the CO2CRC/HRL Mulgrave Capture Project, it aims to reduce the technical risk and cost of the precombustion capture technology.rnThe Victorian government is sup- porting the proj ect with funding under its Energy Technology Innovation Strategy (ETIS) Brown Coal R&D Program.
