Carbon storage technologies explored

Secure, longterm storage of CO_2 in underground rocks can be done using technology currently available from the oil and gas industry, according to a recent report.rnPublished by the CO_2 Capture Project (CCP), the report, called "A technical basis for carbon dioxide storage", was announced at the Carbon Sequestration Leadership Forum (CSLF) ministerial meeting in London last month. The report contains case studies describing where such technologies are already in use around the world.
