Engineers Australia's heritage bodyrnEngineering Heritage Australia conferred two Awards of Merit lastrnmonth.rnThe prizes, presented at a function organised by the Engineering Heritage Committee of Engineers Australia's Sydney Division, recognised "outstanding achievement in engineering heritage".rnCivil engineer Ian Bowie received the award for his contributions to the committee since 1980. The citation praised his "astonishing general knowledge and extraordinary research ability".
