Young engineers excel with ideas

Australians were well represented among the 80 young engineers from around the globe sponsored to attend the World Engineers' Convention to participate in the Young Engineers Project. Launched in September 2010 specifically for the convention, the project was to enable young engineers "to experience that they, too, are experts capable of finding solutions to important social problems". The YEP started with ideas put forward by engineering professors at Swiss universities.
