Gateway WA Perth Airport and freight access project

The Gateway WA project incorporates road and bridge improvements, local road modifications, facilities and connections for pedestrians and cyclists, noise walls, landscaping, innovative urban design and the use of intelligent transport system technology. A prominent feature of the urban design will be the Tonkin Highway and Leach Highway interchange, where a grand gateway will be created between the city and Perth Airport. This will be supported by the three major bridge connections, which will create portals to the gateway - to the south, north, and west.
